Laptop Death
Facepalm - miss_jaffacake
If you're wondering why I haven't been around for a while: I firstly had a horrible, horrible cold that almost ruined my trip to see Spamalot with the parents and Grace (though they enjoyed it, which was the main thing) and this week, my laptop has died for the second time this year. So I have to get a new hard drive - again. And reload all my programs onto it - again. I have most of my stories and pics saved elsewhere but the vids will be lost. :(

But I will be back as soon as possible!

Welcome back! What kind of Laptop do you have? I need a new screen for mine, but it's a early HP with battery built for war. I think some of the newer batteries let the computer down.

And sorry about the cold. With flu and West Nile, we forget how absolutely dreadful a head and chest cold be. Hope you got plenty of rest, zinc, and vitamin "c" and a little spoiling. I would love to see Spamalot.

Hey Vi, it's a Dell Inspiron 1501. I'm currently at my parents' house, so a bit of rest and relaxation is in order. :) Spamalot is hilarious and I hope you get a chance to see it.

Ewwww. Colds suck ;___; And ultimate suck about your laptop! It's always frustrating when that happens, especially when things get lost because of it.

*hugs and meds and anti-laptop death!*

I've popped in to wish you a very happy birthday - and now I've seen this, I can see what else I should be wishing you: a new hard drive with a bow on it! Seriously, having had a few frustrating problems myself lately with an antique (and on-its-way-out) laptop, I do hope you've managed to save all the irreplaceable stuff.

I also hope you're having a great day and have a wonderful year to come. :)

Awww, Gilpin, thank you! *hug* No new laptop for me, I'm afraid, my parents are already paying for the refitting of my kitchen! And yes, the important stuff is on a flash drive, so disaster has been averted, it's just incredibly frustrating and inconvenient!
