I am typing this on my
NEW LAPTOP, a Dell Inspiron 1501. It has WiFi, so it's connected to the Internet ALL THE TIME. I also have a new mobile phone, the new 3 Skype phone, which means that I can be on Skype to any of my friends (okay, currently that's my parents and
gijane7702, but hey). If you have an internet connection, you can phone any other Skype user in the world for free, but now you can do that with this phone as well. :D I knew I was going to get the phone because I'd discussed it with Dad, but I did NOT expect the laptop. Also got
Shrek 3 on DVD, haven't seen it yet so that will be fun. Really looking forward to
Doctor Who this evening! Plus:
Drastic Fantastic by KT Tunstall;
The Secret Life of Trees by Colin Tudge;
Driftwood: A Journey Through Trees by Roger Deakin and
Playing with the Grown-ups by Sophie Dahl.
BUT THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT OF ALL COMES FROM
flourhurricane, WHO HAS UPGRADED MY LJ ACCOUNT FOR SIX MONTHS! Witness my lovely new icon, also made by her! THANK YOUUUUUUUUUU!
We actually had goose for lunch and it's true, roast potatoes are best with goose fat.
Now, I am off to write your Christmas presents. :)
*hugs*
Happy Christmas!
I hope we can talk soon. Please pick a letter for the alphabet meme! Happy Christmas!

Emma looked beautiful though. And she looked like she had really enjoyed herself during the filming.
Posy is exactly the same in the book, really, but more is made of her sense of humour and the fact she's a bit younger than the other two (who are quite close in age). I also thought the scriptwriters had a good idea in emphasising that unlike Pauline and Petrova, who were genuine orphans, Posy was given away. Okay, she wasn't abandoned on the street, but she wasn't wanted. She was sacrificed for dancing.
Emma did look beautiful and I thought she was great as Pauline, apart from that scene where she collapsed on the floor and began to cry. I squirmed with embarrassment, it was so bad. :X Otherwise, very good.
